9-Year Promise Revisited: Reimagining a Classic – ProxyEDC X Damned Designs
In 2024, Fade and AD connected and dove deep into discussions about innovative EDC designs and future trends. After brainstorming, they decided to co-design a fidget spinner. Drawing inspiration from ProxyEDC’s signature "Ouroboros" weight distribution concept and blending elements from Damned Designs’ debut 2016 Triad model, they aimed to revive its old-school charm with a modern twist.
The Ouroboros P.D. keeps some original lines and shape but tweaks the design for easier flicking and faster spins. It uses a dual-material inlay technique to maximize the outer weight, boosting spin speed and that satisfying "pull" feel.
Compact and portable, it has a 50.4mm spin diameter and a slim 9mm profile. Like other Ouroboros models, it uses the 20-small-lock design that users rave about—many say this compact locking system ramps up tactile feedback and offers a fresh play experience.
